Okay, I'm set on finishing these types and I will! Whenever I have time I will crank out as many as these as I can write. Today's type is Fiend (Devil).
This type has received the brunt of the edits by Upperdeck, so I will be writing two views on this type the 4kids/Upperdeck view and my view. First off the 4kids/Upperdeck view of Fiends. Fiends should all be of the big scary Dark attribute. They should not have any horns, pentagrams, scary things and or anything that would anger a soccer mom. They should try and look scary but not enough to anger any of the above. So Fiends should be all sunshine lollypops and rainbows. If needed the bigger Fiends should somehow take the lesser Fiends and dispose of them somehow (maybe by giving them a ticket to see Barney?). But you know never sacrifice them oh no… Ok this is stupider then I thought it would be time for my view. The Devil type seems like a pretty flavorful type to write about. Well first off devils need lots of minions. How do they get these minions? Brain controlling all of these opponents' creatures and sacrificing then. That means that most Devils should need a tribute to get summoned or ever sweeter a ritual. Now if that means that it's going to take tribute to get out your Devils they better be worth it. JD's Note: I've noticed in my many years of dueling that Fiends have many, many crappy tribute monsters that are level 5 or 6 and a meager 1600 attack with no good effect. Don't be fooled by the grand card art or the fact that it's from the TV show, newbies- you will get stomped by playing bad Fiends, and hard. Good ones like the Summoned Skull, however, are used in many decks and will help you out in the long run. Be sure to pick the good Fiends, not the bad ones. And now time for a card that Devils should live up to. Reshef The Dark Being
