Sugoroku no Sugoroku / Destiny Board Traveler Platform: Game Boy Advance Review by: JD on 4/24/05 You know, I really don't know what some people have against this game. The readers at IGN scored this game low, most people rated this game crappy at GameFAQs, but really it's a cute game. Instead of the cards, though, which are what is popular in the US, this focuses on a dice game. A different dice game from DDM, too. Guess that was too much for the tiny American heads. Anyway, this game was originally called Sugoroku no Sugoroku, which as you can get is Grandpa's Japanese name. This game actually uses Sugoroku as the announcer and stuff. Now, the Japanese version of the game had all the Japanese VAs involved, and this game has all the English VAs involved. Why on Earth they called this game Destiny Board Traveler is beyond me. This game has nothing to do with the Ouija Board, it's all about different fields and all that. Oh well, never question Konami of America. In all, this game was very well translated. A lot of the quirkiness of the game was retained when re-doing the Japanese text to English. Yugi still had stupid dub-made sayings, but for the most part it's the same game- that's why the Americans hate it.
