Duel Monsters 8/Reshef of Destruction
(Last Updated: July 8, 2004)

This following comparison involves the GBA game, Duel Monsters 8, or Reshef of Destruction. This is the second and probably last installment of the VG Comparison section. I'll work on this little by little, over the course of a week, as I go through the game itself. Onto the comparison:
Japanese Game: Released March 17, 2003
English Game: Released July 2, 2004

Multiple picture edits here. Konami got off their lazy asses and actually edited the cards that are edited in the TCG, so now kids won't get confused as to what card they're playing:

No more Ankh!

Not an Edit
- To my joy, they kept almost all the kanji in the station and the Egyptian Exhibit!

Kanji galore in the English game! There's some where that box is (next to the top yellow line), and to the upper right of the green portion of the box (like in the Japanese version of that episode, where it says "Domino Museum").
Well, unlike the original Sacred Cards, Konami either hired the dub VAs to do the game, or they took sound audio from episodes of the dub, because whenever it's Yugi, Joey, or Kaiba's turn, the dub VA says "My turn" or "It's my turn!". There are probably some more characters that do that, namely Pegasus or someone, but these are the main ones. Not only that, but Kaiba also proudly proclaims, "Go, Blue Eyes White Dragon!" in the English version. If I find out as I am playing the game that the dub VA for Pegasus or another character says something, I'll update this area.

I have only begun this VG Comparison, so check back for more. I haven't exactly finished the game, in fact I'm only up to the guardian in both games. Bear with me as I go through the game, looking for changes. I'd say so far about 92% has been retained. Points, duh, have to be taken off for the change from kanji to English for the main text, as well as the major card art change that about half the cards went through.
