| What's Goin' On? |
This is the very first JD's Rant on this site. There was a JD's Rants section on YGO II as well, but I'm now doing exclusive Rants on this site. Unlike Editorials, they can be as short or long as I want, so if there's a Rant that's only two paragraphs long, it means I wanted to rant about something but didn't want to make it wordy. The title of this Rant is "What's Goin' On". Why this title? Well, I wanted to give you an update on my life, as well as what projects I have cooked up for this site. I doubt most of you care about the former, just the latter, but here it is anyway. Right now my life is more hectic than you would think. "Oh, but he's only 13... how hectic can it be?" Very. First off, I have an SIC contract to do a project, which I've been working on for the past month. Second, I am preparing for a regional Spelling Bee on April 10th. I'm going against 50 smarties to go to the National Spelling Bee in June. Yes, that's the one that's televised on ESPN. If I win that, I'll be sure to mention this site, and provide the link. :-) Third, unfortunately, I'm getting a social life. Seriously, those bastards call me all day. I'm going to parties, socials, etc. The thing is, I'm not letting that stuff get in the way of doing this site. On April 14th, a couple days after the spelling bee and final SIC deadline, I go back full-time to working on this site. And I have big plans. Big, big plans. The belated release of DS vs. PSP will be released shortly after my full-time return. But that's only the beginning. I have plans for every area of this site with the exception of Intro and Editorials. The Series- The final four DK comparisons should be released within two weeks of my return. TCG Comparisons- Two brand new TCG comparisons are already completed, in the oven for April 14th. VG Comparisons- I should have a follow-up update to DM8 soon after my return. Misc./JD's Rants- DS vs. PSP soon after my return. Opinions- A brand new opinion from Jaya Lakshimi/Draconmouth. Updates- Duh. About the Staff- Updates to the Staff, as well as E-Mail Q & A that you people should look at before e-mailing us. Links- New links to this section soon. And so, almost all of the sections will be updated, as well as a bit of a clean-up in the HTML department. Most of you don't know this, but we have images scattered all over the gods' country in our FTP server, as well as other little old doodads that I'm going to clean up. Also, with Kevin's permission, I'm planning a flip-flop of all the buttons to the left of the Index page instead of to the right like they are now. The Christmas layout was a test of that, and it was well-received. Stay tuned! And now, back to finding 80 pictures for my SIC deadline tomorrow. |
