| August 3rd, 2004 at 12:32 PM | Hello! It's been awhile since the last
update, huh? Anyways, I have some things to say. First off, Kevin's back from
his vacation and will probably be updating in the very near future. Second,
these dual-language DVDs do not seem very promising to me. I think that because
since their core audience in the US is the 6-12 demographic, these will not do
well. Methinks if they even get up into the Battle City saga it would be
astonishing. Third, we should be a bit more active around the site. I'm working
on getting some Opinions ready and three comparisons after the dreaded Panik
Attack ready for this site. It shouldn't be that hard, right? *sees Kevin behind
him shaking his head "yes"* Uh oh... ;-) |
|
| July 10th, 2004 at 1:39 AM | If you're
wondering why we posted five minutes apart, it's because I needed to post his
newest post, and I figured it'd be kind of stupid to place it below my VG
Comparison update, as no one would look at it. Fixed a couple spelling errors
(the series are certainly "definitely" worth checking out, but I don't know if
they are "defiantly" worth it). I'm doing a walkthrough of Duel Monsters 8 to go
along with the comparison that will be available on both Yugioh Uncensored
websites. |
|
| July 10th, 2004 at 1:34 AM | I would like to point out that I am going to be going on vacation in a few days, so for about a month JD will be running the show until I get back (see, it's my grandma's 90th birthday, and my dad made it very clear to me that I would be disowned from the family if I missed it). Also according to Anime on DVD FUNimation has acquired the rights to "Baki The Grappler." My question is why did FUNimation decide to pick up such a turd of a series to release? If they wanted to pick up a good show to sell (and one that would have the potential to make money) then they should have tried to go after "Hikaru no Go" or "Full Moon wo Sagashite" (both are series that are DEFINITELY worth checking out). Also it appears that Warner Bros. have (somewhat) opened up the new website for "Yu-Gi-Oh! The Movie" for your viewing pleasure. Right now the only thing of real interest to see on the website is the brand new trailer (which makes the movie look a little bit more interesting then it originally did), but in the meantime the site looks nice. And since the WB is so hell bent on keeping facts about this movie a secret, then chances are this is one of those few official movie websites that's going to offer some good information about the movie before anyone else does. Chances are I'll see this movie and have a review for it shortly afterwards. If any of you guys have gotten the latest issue of Shonen Jump then chances are you've seen the ad for "Yu-Gi-Oh!: The Complete First Season" DVD set (complete with tin can. Very nice indeed). I would like to warn everyone that before they make a reservation on this DVD, that this set has NOT been confirmed as being the edited versions of the show or the uncut version of the show. If I were you guys, I'd wait until we got a solid confirmation on whether or not these DVD's are uncut or edited before buying this really cool looking set. Anyway that's all I have for this update, so until next time I'm signing off. |
|
| July 8th, 2004 at 4:11 PM | Well, I said tomorrow two days ago, however... ahem... I lied. It's up today instead of yesterday!
The newest VG Comparison for Duel Monsters 8 / Reshef of Destruction is up, however
I have not yet finished the game, so please check back to this page often as it
will be continually updated until I do finish the game in the English and
Japanese versions. JD |
|
| July 6th, 2004 at 4:08 PM | It's been almost
a whole MONTH since the last update. I'm going to begin the brand spanking new
Video Game Comparison! I should have it up completely by tomorrow! JD |

| June 9th, 2004 at 11:02 PM | I’m late reporting a lot of this, but there have been some very good, and in some cases very bad things happening at 4Kids Entertainment this week. First the bad thing. 4Kids has acquired the rights to “One Piece,” and they will begin airing it on Fox Box this fall. Yes, we all feared 4Kids would pick up this show, and now its come true. Here’s hoping someone else gets “Naruto” though. Now some good news. First of all 4Kids hasn’t said a thing about “Ojajamo Doremi” since they acquired the show to air on Fox Box, and it looks like Doremi will be a no show this season too. What’s this mean? Well technically nothing, but I’m starting to get suspicious of 4Kids having the rights to this show now. Maybe they decided to move on from airing the show? I don’t know, all I know is that they have been surprisingly quite with their show that was supposed to “bring girls back to kids TV.” Please keep in mind that my speculation does NOT mean that 4Kids doesn’t still have Doremi, I’m just speculating. Another good thing is that 4Kids is renaming “Hollywood Mew Mew” back to “Tokyo Mew Mew,” which proves that the fans voices were heard loud and clear about the name change, so for everyone who wrote letters to 4Kids about this I want you to give yourself a pat on the back.
However that’s not the best news. The best news to come from FUNimation this week is that this fall we will be getting uncut and duel language DVD’s of both “Shaman King” and “Yu-Gi-Oh! Duel Monsters!” Excuse me while I something off my chest now. Eh-hem...WOOO HOO!!!! YEAH BABY!!!! NOW THAT’S WHAT I’M TALKING ABOUT!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Guys, this is honestly the best news to come out from 4Kids in a LONG time! So I guess you could say mission accomplished right? Wrong! Unfortunately the battle is not over yet. 4Kids is releasing these DVD’s to shut us up, but if these DVD’s don’t sell well then 4Kids will stop releasing them if they bomb. I know virtually no one wants to buy a 4Kids product since it sends money to the evil corporation, but really, this is what we’ve been begging for for a LONG time, and it’s time to put our wallet where our mouths are! The DVD’s will retail for $19.95 each, with 3 episodes on each disk (stop moaning), and we ALL need to buy these disks! Seriously guys, we’ve all gotten in their face about how we would buy their disks if they had subtitled versions on the disks, and now it’s time to prove it. Some of you are going to stubbornly refuse to buy these disks since you hate the company so much, but we need to put our hate and pride behind us and buy these disks so that 4Kids will want to do this thing with ALL their shows! I really don’t care if the dubs are going to be the same on the DVD’s, buy them because the disks are also subtitled. Right now I don’t care about how crappy their dubs are, all that matters to me is making sure that you people buy these DVD’s and send 4Kids a clear message that we WILL buy their DVD’s provided that they provide us with a subtitled version! Keep your eye’s on this site as we continue to bring you news on these new developments (as well as links so that you can pre-order them when they are available). See you next time when I have more info. |
|
| June 6th, 2004 at 9:37 AM | It's been yet another whole week and nothing
has happened! I've had a busy week. Finals were last week, then this week was the last week of school, consisting of one and
a half days. I'm home now, enjoying the beginning of my 80+ day summer vacation. I should have up everything soon, but I have some things I
have to do around my site, including a brand spanking new layout. Also, I leave for the Big Plane on Friday to go to Florida,
so again, no updates (unless I can find a way to get wireless access into the hotel for my PDA). JD |
|
| May 31st, 2004 at 12:54 AM | I looked at the new Yugioh: The Movie trailer. It looks like the dubbers aren't lazy for this movie and are actually doing the cards themselves with English text like the TCG instead of all stretched out like in the regular dub show! That's a step in the right direction. Now, I don't know if Kevin said this or not, but the Japanese animators are actually animating the movie FOR 4Kids, and TV Tokyo is going to DUB the movie for Japanese audiences. Backwards? You tell us. As for the actual comparisons, I will have the very first TCG comparison later today, and I will upload English Episodes 13, 14, and 15 (the ones after Panik Attack) directly from my site to here and reformat them to this layout, also later today. I haven't gotten much work done because of upcoming finals and I did a special Rant on my own website, Yugioh Uncensored II, about Coke Music and the cool virtual reality simulator they have. Check my rant out about it, it has pictures and is really cool. In sad news today, I have made the decision to end my group that will celebrate it's first-year anniversary this June. Read my farewell message at the Yugioh Ultimate Fangroup main page. |
|
| May 29th, 2004 at 10:00 PM | Anyone looking forward to seeing "Yu-Gi-Oh!: The Movie" this summer? Well I don't know about you, but personally I'm not looking forward to seeing it. Because for starters most anime series that have their own movies made are pretty terrible for a number of reasons. Sometimes they are done right (first two "Sailor Moon" movies, "Cowboy Bebop: The Movie"), but most of the time they are done totally wrong (over half the DBZ movies, the "One Piece" films, "Escaflowne: The Movie"). The reason most of these are done totally wrong is because they usually don't follow the story of the series at all, and more times then not they add little to no advancement in the story, and a good 90% of the time there is either a new character that was never in the manga, or there is a new ultimate weapon that shouldn't exist. Sadly, it looks like the Yu-Gi-Oh! movie is going to have all the above problems, and then some. After all, 4Kids is going to be dubbing the movie, and we all know what their track record for the show has been like (-_-;). So I'm personally predicting that the movie will be a lousy movie anyway, but when it hits the theaters this summer it's going to be even worse since 4Kids is behind the wheel. Sorry for predicting that the movie will suck before even seeing it, but really, someone has to tell you the truth about these popular TV series that have movies made after them. Why do I bring this up now? Because 4Kids has just released the teaser trailer for "Yu-Gi-Oh!: The Movie" here, and I hate to tell everyone this, but it looks like the dub of the movie is going to be exactly what we've been fearing and expecting all this time. I'll try to get a couple more the comparisons done this weekend (I've had an unusually busy week you see). Speaking of which, when are you going to upload some comparisons, JD? |
|
| May 25th, 2004 at 2:00 PM | I apologize,
it's been a whole week and nothing's happened around the site. Well, the TCG
Comparison page has been uploaded, and soon we'll start the very first TCG
comparison! JD |
|
| May 18th, 2004 at 10:44 PM | I have uploaded a new fan opinion from the one and only GreatSaiyaman777! I know, I told you all that JD was going to run the opinions section from now on, but I have an exception with Saiyaman, so please continue to send your opinions to JD, and I'm sure he'll post them as soon as he can. Anyway in the mean time read the new one that's up, because trust me; it's WORTH reading! Kevin |
|
| May 17th, 2004 at 3:50 PM | Well, I changed
the Editorials page a bit. The only one I changed, however, was the one
featuring myself. There is a slight change to that I needed to make, and that is
that I am keeping my TCG Comparison page on my site. A section just like it WILL
be added here, in fact it should be here tomorrow. I just wanted to keep the
original TCG Comparison page on my site with the original 9 comparisons. I will
be making brand new TCG Comparisons in the near future for both sites, so stay
tuned! JD- The Official Spellchecker ^_- |
|
| May 15th, 2004 at 5:40 PM | Wow, how about
that? The first time in Uncensored history where there have been THREE updates
in one day? Kevin uploaded English Episode 33 and English Episode 34, and I've chimed in my two cents and spellchecked those. Well, see you! JD |
|
| May 15th, 2004 at 2:15 PM | Well I can tell we're all getting along fine with each other! Everyone getting used to the new co-webmasters? I hope you are, because their going to be helping out a lot at the site, which means that there would rarely be a time period where there aren't any updates anymore! Anyway I uploaded a couple more of the old comparisons, and it shouldn't be long before I get the whole back catalog up and running so we can post some new comparisons again! Anyway keep it posted here, as there is still much more to come! Kevin |
|
| May 15th, 2004 at 12:01 AM | I've changed
a lot of the stuff around, mostly turning everything plural (almost everything,
there are some parts that I want to keep just Kevin). I have also spellchecked
the last two comparisons up (English Episodes 3 and 4) and added Two Cents from
D and I. As you've noticed, the Intro page is changed drastically, and if you'll
notice, the Video Game page has been added to this site and removed from mine.
Until later, ta! JD |
|
| May 11th, 2004 | Ahem. As you already know, I'm new to this site. My site, Yugioh Uncensored II, will continue to be run by me, just to let you know. Anyway, this is one of those Chris Psaros-style non-updates. I just wanted to say hi and other things. Tomorrow or Thursday, I will be adding the TCG Comparison and VG Comparison pages to this site. Until then, ta! JD |
|
| May 9th, 2004 | A couple of new things today. First off is a new editorial, which will explain what some of the changes are going to be around here (Don't worry, none of the changes are bad). Also I've uploaded one of the old comparisons on my site, and I've updated the links. It's been a slow process on getting everything up, but don't worry, there's only two weeks of college left, and then I'll have more free time to update this site. Also you all know that this site is now being hosted by The Otaku Alliance. I would like to take this
opportunity to thank Leia, for hosting me on her server, and Wedge for setting me up with the account, however I'd like to give a special thanks to GreatSaiyaman777, who helped out the most on getting me hosted on the server. He pushed his co-webmasters to host me, helped me out with various things, even *gets
embarrassed* spell checked my site for me (I know, I know. I can't spell to save my life)! So I'd like to give a special nod to G for everything he helped me with. Thanks G! And with that out of the way go read the new editorial. I don't have to put a direct link to it now though, I'm being hosted on a much better server! |
|
| April 20th, 2004 | “The website is moving in a few days you said! We’re getting back on track you said! What happened to you, did you lie to us?”
Yeah, yeah, I know. I told you back at the end of March that it wouldn’t be too long till the site moved, and here we are in April 20th and nothing has happened. Makes me feel like a big fat liar, but there was yet ANOTHER delay! Yes, another one (Seriously, someone must REALLY not want this site to continue)! However the site prevails, and the site has FINALLY moved!!! YES!!! Rejoice my brothers (and sisters too), for “YGO! Uncensored” has finally moved to the new server! And who’s this host I was talking about? Why none other then “The Dragon Ball Z Otaku Alliance” (Now renamed “The Otaku Alliance,” but I’ll still called it DBZOA for old times sake). Yes folks, “YGO! Uncensored” now has the privilege and honor of being hosted by one of the greatest DBZ sites ever to walk the face of the internet. This site has great information, great editorial writers, a kicking message board (Which you all can visit since I have no plans on making one myself), and this place even hosts the legendary DBZ Uncensored! Wow, what greater place could an uncensored site asked to be hosted under? I mean seriously, I’m living under in same house that Chris’s great DBZ Uncensored lives in! Anyway right now I’m still working on uploading ALL of the old episode comparisons (Now being brought to you in HTML), and when I finish uploading those I will upload the long awaited next episode comparison (Seriously, that comparison has been burning a hole in my hard drive), and then things should get back to normal. In the mean time I have posted a new opinion up in the opinions section (One that took much too long for me to get around to posting) so there is at least SOMETHING new while you’re waiting for the next comparison that I’ll post in less then a week, and if there are some broken links or broken images I would appreciate it if you guys could let me know about it so that I can fix it as soon as possible! Anyway I’ll have more updates within the week, so keep your eye’s peeled. |
|
| March 30th, 2004 | I just want to take this moment to announce that in two days “Yu-Gi-Oh! Uncensored!” will be moving to it's a new home! Yes folks, I found someone who was willing to host the site! Leap for joy because YGO Uncensored is going to be coming back in a couple of days. And there I'll even be making a big announcement after the move. So who was the kind people that offered to host me? Well...nah, I'll let that be a surprise until I move. So keep an eye on this space over the next couple days. Well gotta start moving my stuff now, so talk to you in a couple of days! Chow.

Testing, testing! One. Two. Three. Can everyone hear me yet? Great! I’m sure everyone here has been speculating what’s going on with this site, whether I’m continuing it or not, and will it be back up. Today I just want to update everyone on the status of the site, and try to answer some questions you may be thinking (Just wait, this update is probably going to cause more speculation then it will relief). Just to let everyone know it looks like I have found someone who is willing to host me, and we are working on making the arrangement work, its just taking some time to work out some bugs at the moment, but ultimately it looks like I have a new home. Of course this means I have no idea when the site will be back to normal operations, but when it does return I WILL have new episode comparisons and maybe a couple new opinions posted, just so that the wait won’t have been for nothing! If by chance this arrangement doesn’t work out, then I will be forced to close house and move on. I’m not saying this to be mean, or to pressure my communication buddy into making this arrangement work, I’m just saying this to let you guys know.
The reason I say this will be my last resort is because I’ve talked with a few people the last month, and pretty much all talks have fallen through. The new communication that is currently in the works looks like it will work, but if some freak of nature accident comes along and ruins the talks I’ll be forced to end the talks and retire this site. Seriously folks, this mess has been going on for more then a month now, and sooner or later enough will be enough. If we hit April and this site still hasn’t found a host I’ll let you guys know what’s going on and we’ll take it from there. But seriously, as much as I want to continue with this site very little progress is being made, and sooner or later I have to move on. I’ve been wrestling with this for awhile now on whether or not I should say anything, my initial thinking was that I’d wait to see how the talks ended, but I think you guys deserve an honest response over being left in the dark, so I decided to just straight out tell you guys what’s going on.
I’ve always been honest with you guys, and I think you all deserved the truth from me instead of speculation going around in message boards. Anyway I’ll keep you guys updated in the future. And if for some reason I decide to not go on with this site I may appoint a successor to take over and continue the work (Or maybe a partner at least so that I could still contribute to the site every now and then). Don’t ask who it is yet, but this is another option I’ve been thinking about (Because I REALLY don’t want this site to close when 4Kids isn’t anywhere NEAR close to getting the dub or the DVD’s right). Anyway that’s all the information I have for you guys now, but keep checking this space for more info. |
|
| January 29th, 2004 |
And it was all going so well too. Well guys, it looks like the “Anti-4Kids Otaku Alliance” isn’t going to happen after all. You can read the whole reason behind why
here, but needless to say this is still a bit saddening. So this means a few things:
1. If someone else decides to make a new 4KOA I most likely won’t play a very big role in the creation or helping of that site (Unless I’m offered to help with the site). 2. I’m out of a host now, so my index page and updates page are uploaded on Geocities again. And ONLY those two pages! I’m praying that someone will offer to host me for free since I can’t afford to host myself at this point in time. 3. If nothing comes up then...well then I don’t know what to tell you the truth, this whole situation was a big blow to my future plans, and even though I don’t blame laserkid at all for what’s happening (The guy was nice enough to host my site and give me some of the responsibilities of the 4KOA site, so I’m thankful for that), it’s still a bit frustrating. So what now? I’m not sure to tell you the truth, but after all the work I put into the two sites only to have the whole thing burn out on me in the end, I’m thinking of just calling it quits for a little while. Not forever mind you, just a little break from all the crazy stuff that’s going on. Right now I’m feeling just a little drained from doing lots of work for this whole project, only to have all that work go to waste, so I hope you’ll understand why I’m not starting all over again real soon. If I could just put everything back on Geocities and go back to the way things were I would, but Geocities just isn’t a good hosting plan for me anymore, and my site shuts down more times then it gets viewed.
Anyway if my site gets too slow for all of you you could always go to
Yu-Gi-Oh! Uncensored II. Yes folks, believe it or not there is already a sequel to my site, and I haven’t even retired yet, welcome to my world (It’s a strange one). Anyway if anything comes up I’ll post the news here, but until then as Humphrey Bogart said in a movie that I can’t quite remember the title too, “Here’s looking at you kid.” See you later when I get some news. |
|
| January 24th, 2004 |
Have you ever wondered whether or not you came out of a situation with the short end of the stick? I feel that way a lot, and when I say short end of the stick I’m talking about 4Kids of course. Terrible dubs, no duel language DVD’s, can’t help feeling any more short ended then that right? However there was something today that made me change my perspective a little.
“The actual re-animated version is the version that gets dubbed in all the different languages and gets sent around the world.” This quote comes from the head cheese of 4Kids Entertainment Al Kahn, and obviously the guy doesn’t want America to be the only country to suffer with these bad dubs, however I guess someone at Europe forgot to tell him that the show was to be exactly the same, and so for the dub of “Soinc X” they made their own theme song that can be found here. Sadly the new song is worse, but it makes me feel a little better that America may have a better dub, however slightly better it is. However now I’m beginning to wonder what the Europe theme song sounds like. So if there is anyone out there who would be able to show me I would appreciate it very much! Also I need opinions from people if possible. Why? Because right now me and laserkid are working on the grand opening of “The Anti-4Kids Otaku Alliance,” and we could use some opinions, features, suggestions, anything that could help us make the website launch a success. However there are a few things you need to avoid doing in your editorials: 1) Don’t swear or call 4Kids names like 4Krap. This is immature, and as a group out to make a difference in a cause we believe in we need to act mature or else no one will take us seriously. 2) Make sure they have a beginning and an ending. Don’t start something and then end it hanging, finish what you start. 3) Use a spell checker. If we see more then ten spelling errors we might not post it as that’s sloppy and we don’t have time to spell check everything for everyone.
Otherwise though we could use all editorials, opinions, and so forth. No wish me luck as I go learn to make the one thing I despise the most for the website (For those who don’t know, that’s a message board). See you next time.

Did I have you guys fooled that the site was closing? Oh...you weren't fooled. Oh well, anyway there's a special editorial up today to explain what the "big" updates are here, and I've also uploaded various other things around the site. Check it out when you have time. I'll be back in a day or two to follow up on this update. Right now I'm tired from all the work I just did so I'm going to bed now. Talk to you guys later.

| January 3rd, 2004 |
Happy New Year everyone! You may notice that there’s something strange going on with my site. A few of the links are broken, by the end of the week they most likely will all be gone. Some of the images are down, and I intend to take them all down soon enough. And my involvement with the site has been less about “Yu-Gi-Oh!” and more about 4Kids in general. Well the things are not a glitch, they are going down for a reason, and I have no intention to be putting them back up on the server. I was going to make an important announcement, but then I realized that the one year anniversary of this site is coming up. And the anniversaries are the best days to make special...announcement. To find out what this “announcement” is just check back on the 14th, and there will be a MAJOR update and change, so come back then! And now for the news rambling. Grace (A.K.A. Lovely) has decided to open up a “Shaman King Uncensored!” page, to show the even more evil doings of everyone’s most hated “anime” company. It doesn’t have the “standard uncensored” look, but it’s still a great site, and just one more reason you should join the fight against 4Kids Entertainment. Also “Yu-Gi-Oh! Uncensored!” has been reviews and graded by the folks over at “Uanime5.” Out of ten this site scored a 3, which shocked me as that was a better score then I was expecting. But seriously, the reason I got a 3 was because I don’t have any pictures of what was cut. Now I’m not one to usually respond to reviews, but the reason I try to keep pictures off my site is because I don’t have much bandwidth at my disposal, and pictures would just make my site go down even more then it already does. Plus I believe I stated in my “Intro” page that I had no intention to EVER put pictures up, there are many other sites that could do that much better then I could, so I try not to do that! All in all though “Yu-Gi-Oh! Uncensored!” got a 3 out of 10. Man, I’m honored to have been graded in the first place. Anyway that’s all for the news, now to get back to preparing for my...special update.

At this moment Roy E. Disney and Stanley Gold are planning to bring Michael Eisner to war, and remove him from the head office at The Walt Disney Company. And now it is time, as fans of YGO!, “Shaman King,” “Sonic X,” and many other 4Kids shows to make the same stand against 4Kids Entertainment. We don’t really need to have someone fired, but we need for the company to pay attention to their fans and make the truth known to a greater extent then ever before! If you go to this link, you can read GreatSaiyaman has officially called forth every person who has had their favorite show utterly ruined by 4Kids. His statement says this:
Welcome to the anti-4Kids Missionary Church! What is it? Well, interest in creating an anti-4Kids Alliance has increased dramatically among members, and it's possible one could be formed as early as January. Laserkid in particular may have one designed. Basically, it'll be designed as a focal point for people unhappy with 4Kids, kind of like DBZOA. And the more people dedicated to the future site, the more members/content/ideas to be created and shared and the more it can expand. So, to help we're starting a recruitment drive to bring more potential members here. We've got 25 definite members so far, and the more the better. Anyone interested in helping "spread the word" join here today as a missionary! The only requirement before being able to do so is to bring in at least one new member for the future Anti-4Kids Alliance. Since I just convinced laserkid to sign up, I'll add my name to the roster 1. GreatSaiyaman777 Yes folks, 4Kids has gotten to the point where we need a “Anti-4Kids Otaku Alliance” out there for everyone to see. Imagine if this site were to get so big, so popular, and enough people were there to bug 4Kids about their dubs and lack of dual language DVD’s. Maybe they’d start listening to us? Be a nice thing wouldn’t it? Maybe our voices could be heard so loud, that maybe Japanese studios would think twice about giving 4Kids the rights to shows like “One Piece,” “Naruto,” “Kodocha,” and many more! Wouldn’t it be nice that if the fans voices could be so loud with this site, that Japanese studios would take notice and not deal with 4Kids, practically FORCING 4Kids to do thinks our way!?! Okay so this part is just me getting ahead of myself here, but the point is that “The Anti-4Kids Otaku Alliance” is THIS close to becoming a reality, and we could REALLY use all the support we could get right now! Again, here’s the link, and if you decide you want to help then send Gsman a private message and let him know you’d like to help (And when you contact him, tell him that Kevin from YGO! Uncensored! sent you -_^).
I’ll try to update this week with some other news, but since I’ve been so busy this Christmas season (I hate working retail) I’m not promising on that. Just wait until the new year, I’ll have more free time by then.

Hello everyone, been awhile hasn’t it. For those of you curious I’m still not completely over the death of my friend, and I don’t think I ever will be, however I have to move on. Anyway I’d to bring back a little site memory that occurred what, five months ago? Anyway you guys may recall the big “Yu-Gi-Oh! Uncensored!” merger that was going to happen some time ago when it was discovered that there were in fact TWO “Yu-Gi-Oh! Uncensored!” websites out there! While my website was more about editorials and episode comparisons (I’ll wait while you guys stop laughing) Ken’s “YGO! Uncensored!” site was based more on media for the Japanese show. It was decided that we would merge, and that his site would become “Yu-Gi-Oh! Uncensored: Media” and my site would be become “Yu-Gi-Oh! Uncensored: Editorials” (Or something like that). Well before this happened Ken’s site closed and I never heard from him about the topic again.
Now his site is back up, and rather then be part of the “Yu-Gi-Oh! Uncensored” group, he relaunched his site as “The Sennen Shrine - A Yu-Gi-Oh! Duel Monster’s Site.” While he dropped the “YGO! Uncensored” title and the episode comparisons he completed he didn’t turn his back on media for the Japanese version of “Yu-Gi-Oh!” Well if you guys have been reading my comparisons but still have yet to enjoy what Japanese YGO! tastes like then now is your chance. Ken has uploaded raw clips of the Japanese version, entire mp3's of not only the songs of YGO!, but the background music TOO!!! Heck, he has whole CD’s ready to download! Folks, THIS is the site you want to go to if you want to taste what Japanese YGO! is, this site offers you the EXPERIENCE of Japanese YGO! that I cannot offer you!
Enjoy go there, download the music, and enjoy what Japanese YGO! looks and sounds like. Also after you’ve made your own Japanese YGO! CD maybe we should all make copies, send them to 4Kids and say “Hear this? THIS is how YGO! is SUPPOSED to sound like!!! THIS is how we want to HEAR it!!!” What do you guys think? Also there’s no site update tonight. Oh don’t give me that, you guys are going to be too busy downloading Japanese music and clips to bother reading anything I have to say. I’ll upload a few fan opinions, an editorial, and (hopefully) the new episode comparison that has been on my “to finish” list forever! Until next time then.

Site updates: Opinions section has the Eric Stuart interview with commentary, that's it. Sorry this update is brief, and that I didn't upload the episode comparison or two opinions I have sitting on my computer, but today someone I know died and I'm not it the biggest of moods to be spending a long time updating. I'm still accepting opinions and what not, but at the moment it's a hard time and I'm not garrenting updates at all. I'll update when I'm ready, but until then I hope you enjoy the interview commentary.

| October 25th, 2003 | Today I won’t ask about the “Doremi” petition or the 4Kids message board. I’ve mentioned them both enough times that I feel I can take a break from mentioning those for a couple months, a guy can only promote something every single update so many times before people get sick of it. Any a couple of things to mention today. For starters I’ve (finally) opened up the “Miscellaneous” section, which includes a link to an interview with Eric Stuart, who the director/voice actor/song guy/money counter for the “Yu-Gi-Oh!” dub. So check it out when you have time, please keep in mind the link WILL take you out of my page, so be warned young ones! Also I’ve uploaded a new fan opinion by GreatSaiyaman777, who to my knowledge runs some sort of “Dragon Ball Z” site or something like that...I think, maybe, it’s supposed to an important site...or something. At any rate despite his popularity status the opinion is a very good read, and everyone should also check that out. Also I recommend everyone pick up the “Brother Bear” soundtrack from Disney. It has a bunch of new songs from Phil Collins and he did a great job on them.
Well we need to listen to SOMETHING while we’re waiting for an anime company to release the Japanese CD’s of “Yu-Gi-Oh!” in America! On a final note “Manga Bits.com” have written two VERY funny articles on the cliches of manga. “How To Survive Manga 1 & 2,” and they are both funny reads. Also I have yet to see how 4Kids handled a certain characters death today on Kids WB, but I’m already preparing for one of the many alternatives their planning on using for the dub today. I should have my new comparison up in a few days too. Well it looks like you guys have some reading to do so I’ll leave you so you can read all this stuff.

I need to know if people are doing these things:
A) Supporting the “Subtitle Our Doremi” campaign.
If you aren’t doing any of these things (Or only a couple of these things) then I urge you to PLEASE be active in all the above! If you want my reasons why just read the last few updates. On to site updates I’ve fixed the link to my e-mail address button, so now my e-mail will actually work (Thanks for pointing this out Amanda). If any of you have tried to send e-mail to me the last couple of days please try to re-send it again, and hopefully I’ll get it without my e-mail going out on me again. Also Lance “The Moal” Eustache has sent in another opinion, this time about “Ojamajo Doremi” (Please people, sign the petition and write letters, this is a REALLY good show that doesn’t deserve to be butchered). Man, “The Moal” has become one of my most valuable editorial writers. You guys aren’t going to let him out do you now are you? Also I have set the day November 1st as the day I will have the next episode comparison(s) up. I’m going to try to pressure myself with a deadline, maybe that will help me finish the comparisons faster.

Just to let everyone know I’ve just gotten a new job. So what this means is that after I’m all settled into this new job regular updates should return to normal, and I’ll finally be able to post the new editorial and episode comparison. However I’m not here to talk to you about “Yu-Gi-Oh!” today, I’m here to talk to you about a show called “Ojamajo Doremi.” You most likely haven’t heard of “Ojamajo Doremi” for a number of reasons, but if there is one thing you should know about the show is that it’s actually a very good show that deserves to be more popular then it is, but sadly isn’t. To explain what happens in the first episode would be giving away the deepest part of the show, so I’ll make this explanation simple: It’s about a girl who turns into a witch. That may be about as deep as the show gets, but like many shows it’s not about how deep the story is, but how enjoyable the show is. And this show is enjoyable, it’s VERY enjoyable!
It’s ultra cute, it’s funny, the characters are fun, and the situations they get themselves into have to be seen to be believed (Sometimes). Not only is this a very enjoyable show, but it’s G rated and has a lot of appeal to girls. This, like “Cardcaptor Sakura,” has the potential to not only bring girls back to Saturday morning cartoons, but has the power to do what “Sailormoon” did for girls (and boys) in America: This show has the power to introduce a new generation of kids to the wonderful world of anime! Plus this show has over 200+ episodes under it’s belt, so you have to wonder why no one has picked it up yet right? Well someone has, and sadly the worst company in the world has picked it up. If you haven’t guessed (or heard) by now, the company that picked up this wonderful series is 4Kids Entertainment, and if you know anything about their work, it’s that they don’t have too many fans for most of what they make. The worst news about this though is that 4Kids will be trying to make this something that boys will watch too, so they already planning to make some “adjustments” to the show to make it more acceptable for boys. Yes, it’s like “Cardcaptor’s” all over again, and this time it could possably be much worse since we don’t have subtitled only DVD’s to fall back on, thanks to Pioneer (Excuse me: GENEON! Man I hate that name). No, this time we’re stuck, with a potentially worse product then one that Nelvana unleashed on us three years ago. However since everyone knows 4Kids can’t be trusted some fans have already put together a campaign to help save this show from certain death. I encourage everyone to go to the website “Subtitle Our Doremi” and sign the petition, and write a letter to the company (And while your at it, write a second letter about YGO! Since you’re already sending them a letter about one of their shows). For those of you who own a website I recommend you get one of their banners and put it on your website. And then sign up to be a member of the DBZOA’s “4Kids Message Board” group (See last update for details), so that we can all join together to become a voice that can’t be ignored! I’ve also updated the links so that future visitors to my site can click on the link and help support the uncut version of the show. On a final note it appears that 4Kids DVD release of “Ultraman Tiga” will be billingual, so isn’t THAT weird!?! I can smell inspiration for another editorial in the air tonight.
By the way, Clay Aiken’s new album is GREAT!!! Go buy it, now, I mean it. Buy it.

The time has come to rise my friends, as it is time for the world to declare war on 4Kids Entertainment. If you haven’t read this editorial at the DBZOA yet I would read that editorial first so that you know what’s going on. Don’t worry I’ll wait. ... ... ... ... Finished? Alright then. As you just read in the editorial up there the webmaster GreatSayaman777 made some very good points about the anime fandom regarding 4Kids Entertainment. People who hate 4Kids are divided by series, people who hate 4Kids aren’t as vocal about what 4Kids does to anime as they could and should be, and ultimately unless we are brought together to make our voices unignorable then 4Kids will continue to piss on us as if we were garbage! So what can we do to make our voices heard? Well for starters you can go to the 4Kids dedicated message board at the DBZOA here and sign up for an account. There start talking to everyone so that we can all find a way to make our voices heard. What I’ll contribute in the long run I’ll think of, but in the mean time I will make one small change for this website. From now on the “opinions” page will not be limited to opinions about “Yu-Gi-Oh!” Now opinions for ALL things 4Kids will be accepted! That means if you have an editorial about the “Shaman King” dub then it will be accepted even if it doesn’t have anything to do with YGO! (However it DOES have to have something to do with 4Kids). Want to post an opinion on why you think 4Kids is giving “Ultraman Tiga” a dual language DVD release, and no other show a dual language DVD release, then send it in. From now on the opinions section will not only be about the lousy YGO! dub, it will be about 4Kids practices in general. This is only a small step in what will hopefully turn into something bigger, but hopefully it will be a step in the right direction.
As for the site updates just to let you know more comparisons and editorials on their way, however I have recently lost my job, and until I find a new job my involvement with this site will be minimal at best. Sorry guys, but finding work is more important then staying at home to review a dub for a children show. Until next time.

Anyone catch "Smallville" tonight? If you missed it, or simply haven't been watching the show (You fools), then I highly recommend you catch the rerun of the episode on Sunday! I still strongly believe that this is quite simply one of the best shows on TV, and it has renewed my faith that there is good quality programing still out there. Anyway I added a new opinion up from Lance "The Moal" Eustache. Check it out...along with the newly re-designed HTML "Opinions" page! Yes, slowly but surely I'm getting around to making this site look just as good as the other "uncensored" sites out there. Also in case anyone in interested, Lance is trying to put together an "e-zine" site...which basically is a online magazine done for free. The problem is he has no writers. I mean, he could just put nothing but his articles up...but that would make for a very one dimensional magazine.
Anyway if you're interesting in contributing to the project give him a buzz through his e-mail address, and maybe you guys can work something out (Just for the record, I believe his magazine is NOT a "Yu-Gi-Oh!" magazine). And on one more note "Shonen Jump" made a guest appearance on the new episode of "Everwood

Anyone remember the “Opinions” page? It has been open since this website went online, however aside from an already famous article by Alan Tse (Which premiered this somewhat controversial editorial at Dogasu’s website) the section has been dead since. I’ve gotten an e-mail or two asking me what happened to the section and why there wasn’t any more fan opinions on the page. I simply told people there was nothing I had to post. Not only have there been a surprising lack of fan out lash when it comes to the dub of “Yu-Gi-Oh,” but the few opinions I DID get for the section were hardly worth posting (Bad spelling, juvenile humor, no real point to the opinion aside from stating that 4Kids as a dubbing company sucks)! That has changed today. There is NOW a new fan opinion in the “Opinions” section, and I recommend you go check it out as it is worth reading! I’d like to thank James for springing some life into that section, hopefully more people will follow suit.

As some of you may or may not know, I have been taking HTML classes at collage recently, and I have at learned enough HTML that I can start to re-formatt most of these pages in HTML. With that said I'd like to anounce that the first page to revceive the makeover is "The Pros of Shonen Jump" editorial. I'm not sure why I picked that editorial to get remodeld first, but as you can see the page now looks a lot more like the classic "DBZ Uncensored" design everyone knows and loves. Hopefully soon I'll know enough HTML so I can start using the REAL episode comparison boxes that people have been begging for ever since this site first opened! Anyway check out the new remodeled editorial here.

I’ve been getting a lot more e-mails about this site recently. Not sure why, but just to let you guys know I appreciate the e-mail. However most of the e-mail has also been asking one question, so since many of the complaints I’ve gotten have been about this one question I’ll address it here. So what is that one question? Here it is: “Where the heck are the new episode comparisons?” Ah yes, the episode comparisons, those little things that actually make an “Uncensored” site what it is, it is also consequently the hardest thing to do. To make it clear as to why I haven’t posted one in a while I’m going to give you guys a behind the scene’s tour of how an episode comparison is made:
Step 1. Watch The Episode Side By Side Obviously watching the episodes side by side is must, because if your not doing this then you might as well quit right now, you obviously don’t know what your doing. This process alone can take at least 50 minutes to do, and this is all you will have to do if there is nothing important to make note of (Which isn’t very often, believe me). Step 2. Take Notes Obviously taking notes of the changes is also a must, considering how many changes there are this process can add another 5 to 40 minutes to your time. Step 3. Make The Notes Interesting After you take the notes you must make the notes interesting to read, as reading plain old notes is one of the most boring things you can do. Whether your “beefing up” of the notes make for funny results or not is irrelevant, the point is to make it so that it least you tried. Otherwise these notes will not entertain anyone, and people will be FAR less inclined to return to read your boring foot notes! Step 4. Publish The Notes This is the final step. Once the notes are posted online you let everyone know they’ve been posted, and your done. Overall the whole process should take you around 3 to 4 hours.
As you can see, doing episode comparisons is not an easy task, and when life gets in the way finding time to do these can be PAINFULLY hard! So just to let everyone know that I WILL compare every single episode until 4Kids either gets it right, or releases the show subtitled! With all that out of the way the episode comparison for episode 40 is now up in the series section. Click here for a short cut. Thanks for the wait.
